I first learned about Rituals Cosmetics last year from a friend of mine who spends most of her time in the UK. She raved about the Sakura Spring Foaming Shower Oil so much I knew I had to try it. Lo and behold, the store opened at Mall of the Emirates and I just bought the shower oil to try it. Soon after, another branch opened at Burjuman and I found myself there to try some of their other products. I left with the Incense candle from their Private Collection (which smells HEAVENLY!), the Home Fragrance Sticks in Secret Lotus (which has been going strong for 4 months now and seems it will last for 2 more!) and the Tao and Yogi Flow Foaming Shower Gels.
Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity to visit the Mall of the Emirates branch for the brand’s #BeYourBestYou event. Everyone coming into the store was encouraged to write a motivational phrase or quote on a pink slip of paper that was hung up on floral wooden boards at the entrance. Having just started the year fresh, I thought this campaign also helped people remember their New Year resolutions and prodded them to follow through with them. Thumbs up for that, Rituals Cosmetics!
I wanted to browse the brand’s perfumes and new releases. I tried on Eau D’Orient and Fleurs de L’Himalaya and instantly fell in love although they’re quite different. I have an affinity for spicy notes but I crave fresher ones sometimes, and the floral notes of the latter perfume hit the spot for me. I tried both on my hand and kept sniffing them after to see how they settled on my skin…Couldn’t decide between the two so I might just have to get both!
The store’s ambiance is very warm and inviting and I can easily lose myself in it sniffing and discovering all the products. Although it doesn’t take up much space, I feel it’s condensed with goodness! This was my third visit to the store and I have yet to discover their makeup line, can you believe that?
And who does’t love a goody bag?! Mine had the Magic Touch Ultra Rich, Whipped Body Cream and the Tao Foaming Shower Gel. I know I won’t be sharing any of them!
Have you tried Rituals Cosmetics before?
