I decided to go for a 4th of July makeup theme for the day, paired with a blue dress and all! This was actually very quick makeup and can easily be worn to spice up a daily look!
I went about prepping the base the same way I always do: Moisturizer, sunscreen and primer. When all that sunk in, I applied the Elcie Cosmetics Micro Silque Foundation in shade Sand and concealed my under-eyes with the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer. Recently, I’ve been loving the La Prairie Cellular Treatment Bronzing Powder and the Gucci Sheer Blushing Powder in Spicy Petal- I feel they together impart a great summer sun-kissed glow! To enhance that, I applied just a hint of the Kevyn Aucoin Candlelight on the top of my cheekbones.
Using the Naked Basics palette from Urban Decay, I applied Venus all over the lids and Naked 2 in the crease for subtle definition. I then used the Makeup Forever Aqua Eyes in 3L to line my waterline and the YSL Dessin de Regard in 3 for my lower lash line. The blue liner combination is definitely a winner in my books, and contrasts well with the red lips, courtesy of Gucci Sensuous Deep-Matte Lipstick in Rush (my all-time favorite red!).
Happy 4th of July everyone!
