So I decided to add ‘Monthly Favorites’, a new type of category, to the blog – you can think of it as a replacement category for ‘Empties’. I realized I prefer to share with you what I’m liking before they actually become empty and need replacement.
Chantecaille 24 Hour Waterproof Liner in Ebony has been the eyeliner I reach out for the most recently. It’s definitely not the most intense black out there, but I like that I can use it on my waterline without it irritating my eyes. On the other hand, AOM Cosmetics Extreme Art Liner Pen is very black, and simply HG material! I have been using it religiously ever since I bought it and I definitely can’t see myself falling in love with any other eyeliner (I have reviewed it here extensively).
I have been all about oils lately – figured the lips need an oil of their own too! I have been reaching out for Clarins Eclat Minute Huile Confort Lèvres (Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in English) a couple of times a day, especially when I’m at home. I am not usually a fan of lip gloss, but this isn’t your typical sticky MAC gloss. It is very light on the lips and gives off a subtle shine while it conditions. For when I want a pop of color, I have been wearing an old but gold product, the Tom Ford Lip Color in True Coral. I’m dying for a vacation and this reminds me of the time we went to South of France two summers back…
‘Diorskin Nude Tan Tie Dye’ Blush in Pink Sunrise. I actually picked this up on the way to Lebanon a couple of months back. It was a very impulsive buy but as you can tell from my Instagram feed I found myself wearing it often this month. It doesn’t come out very pigmented on me, I guess it is better suited for lighter skin tones, but I still like the flush it deposits on my cheeks.
Finally, if you have been keeping up with my Gucci purchases (here and here), you would predict my feelings for the brand’s Luminous Perfecting Concealer in Medium 030. Ok I’ll cut to the chase – it’s definitely love for me. I find it on par with Georgio Armani’s correctors and concealers when it comes to thin consistency and great coverage. It also doesn’t crease at all. I just don’t like the brush applicator; I feel like I need to click a lot for the product to come out and when it finally does a substantial amount spills out. This didn’t stop me from using it every single day this past few weeks though!
