SK-II Facial Treatment Essence

SKII FTE_s

I have heard lots about SK-II and especially their Facial Treatment Essence. Some people call it ‘miracle water’, others call it the must-have from SK-II. I was ever so curious to find out what the hype was all about so was pretty excited to finally get my hands on one of these babies.

When I first started using it, I experienced some break outs and was worried that I had just thrown a lot of money down the drain for some fake miracle water that actually causes me pimples. However, I decided to continue using it for a little while, hoping that the breakouts were just a phase. Indeed, they stopped after a week or so and my skin embarked on its journey towards ‘clear-dom’.

After more than 2 months of bi-daily use, my acne scars are less red and visible, and the overall texture seems to have improved. My complexion seems brighter and more unified and sebum production seems to have normalized quite a bit!

One complaint I have of it though, apart from it’s hefty price tag, is the glass container it comes in. I bought it on a trip to London and was scared it was going to break on the way back home before I get a chance to even try it! Thankfully, that didn’t happen but I wouldn’t feel comfortable travelling with it again.

I’m quite convinced that using this long-term might finally allow me to leave the house without a base on my face if I really wanted to!

If you’ve tried the Facial Treatment Essence feel free to share your thoughts on it, I would love to read what you have to say about it!
