No matter how oily my face and lids can get, my under-eyes lean more towards the dry side and that’s never good news for wearing concealer. I had originally tried the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream but felt it was too light for my under-eyes, so switched to using a sample of the Extra Repair Eye Cream, and I’ve been in love ever since. It is very hydrating, creamy and emollient. As it’s very thick, a little bit goes a long way – all it needs is some warming up between your fingers before applying.
I went ahead and purchased the full size of it and I’ve been using it religiously under makeup; I feel it works perfect for that, allowing concealer to go on smoothly without settling into any fine lines. Just give it time to absorb properly before applying anything on top, else makeup will just slide off!
Skin around the eye area is very thin, so using thick products might cause some people milia, especially if not used correctly. There’s no need to directly place the cream under the eyes. Instead, use your ring finger to tap it on the orbital bone, which distributes the cream to the eye area and hydrates where needed.
