Want a healthy and easy lunch or dinner idea that only takes minutes to throw together?

Ingredients

– 1 thin cut sirloin or filet steak

– 1 small onion, sliced

– Bread of your choice, toasted

– Salt and pepper, to taste

Season steak with salt and pepper and grill on each side for a couple of minutes, depending on how well done you want it to be. At the same time, grill the onion slices until they wilt a bit and change color. Assemble the sandwich (I like to place the onions on both sides of the steak) and serve with a side of garden salad.

This is a basic sandwich that can be easily modified to suit individual taste – substitute caramelized onions for the grilled or add any sauce or toppings of your choice: think cheese, mushroom, pepper, etc…for your very own signature creation steak sandwich!
