For the love of NARS…

In anticipation of the relaunch of NARS cosmetics in Dubai in October, I figured it would be a good time to share my favorite products of the brand.

Nars Faves_s

Eyeshadow in Yamal

I’m a sucker for neutrals, and this matte light brown is perfect for a wash of a color all over the lid or just in the crease.

Eyeshadow in Night Clubbing

A black-green with golden specks, Night Clubbing is a sophisticated, versatile color that is great for a smokey look. The shimmer is subtle if the shadow is swiped on the eyelid instead of patted, and applying it wet gives the most color payoff.

Radiant Creamy Concealer in Light 3 – Honey

This concealer has a relatively thick consistency, gives great coverage and is long-lasting.

Sheer Matte Foundation in Punjab

Sheer with buildable coverage, it gives off a very natural finish and the color suits me perfectly. Although it’s oil-free, I find it better suited for less humid days.

Blush in Orgasm

An Allure reader’s choice award winner since 2002, I was so excited to finally try perhaps the most raved about blush of all times…and it was love at first sight. It is described as a peachy-pink color and has specks of gold shimmer in it. It suits most skin tones and definitely a must-have in any beauty kit!

Bronzer in Laguna

Laguna is another cult product that I just had to buy and I’m so glad I did. Although I usually prefer matte bronzers, Laguna’s subtle shimmer does not leave the face looking greasy. It is also not red toned so it believable warms up the skin. In fact and as intended, it gives the illusion of a healthy summer glow. Some people use it for contouring, but I prefer to use a more matte product with a slightly grey undertone for that.

Kabuki brush – Ita

This is the brush I have been reaching out for the most when contouring. It deposits product precisely and is great for blending.

Kabuki brush – Yachiyo

This is perhaps my best brush of all times – perfect for depositing the perfect amount of blush in the intended place.

I cannot wait for the brand to relaunch so I can finally buy the new Kudoki & Mizubake kabuki brushes!
